ABOUT ME

My name is Kayla Messner. I am a wife, mother, and writer, but a Christian first and foremost. In 2015 God reached down and rescued me from a pit of despair and depression. He brought me hope when I was hopeless, and joy and peace when I felt I'd never experience them again. After that experience, my life has gone through a metamorphasis. I dove head-first into the Bible and fell in love with the God who wrote it. I began to interact with Him on a level of familiarity and intimacy that I never dreamed possible. I work hard to put Him first in my life and live according to His word. I feel Him with me through each and every day, through every experience or trial I face. I am in awe of the love and forgiveness He has shown me and I feel Him urging me to reach out to others to share what He's done for me and to help them on their own journeys. I pray that my writing speaks to your heart and inspires you to draw nearer to God.

I WROTE A BOOK!

From the time I was little I've loved telling stories. I remember dreaming of how wonderful it would be to lock myself away in some secluded cabin in the woods and type my stories for a living.
I've been itching to get back into writing for several years, but realized that I needed to trust God for the timing. I feel He wanted me to develop a firm foundation of faith and knowledge of His Word before beginning my writing journey. He's finally given me a green light and it is through my faith and love for Him that all my stories will be told. I pray that your time spent reading any of my writing draws you nearer to our Heavenly Father. 'Joy Comes in the Morning' was released April 26, 2024 and I've begun working on the next book in the series. I've got a few other projects I've been working on as well. One of which is a poetic devotional. I'm not sure when it will be ready, but I'm waiting on the Lord and trusting His timing. |
